The Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program is a joint government/business initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen overall supply chain and border security. The voluntary program is designed to share information that will protect against terrorists' compromising the supply chain. Falling under the US Customs and Border Protection or CBP, the C-TPAT helps to secure and facilitate a legitimate international supply chain.
