Penske Logistics Honored with Ford World Excellence Award

READING, Pa., June 6, 2014 — Penske Logistics was recently honored by Ford Motor Company with a World Excellence Award for outstanding performance as its Lead Logistics Provider (LLP). This is Penske's fourth World Excellence Award for its automotive logistics and supply chain solutions.

"I am proud of our associates as their superior performance delivered solid results for our customer and earned this prestigious award," said Penske Logistics President Marc Althen. "We sincerely appreciate this recognition from Ford as well as their collaboration around the world."

Fifty-one awards were presented this year. Gold and silver awards were presented to supplier manufacturing sites that demonstrated superior quality, delivery and cost performance in 2013. Penske Logistics received a silver award meaning the company's performance ranked in the top 15 percent of all qualifying suppliers.
